La iglesia sumergida: hallazgos y nuevas ideas sobre las primeras edificaciones agustinas en la zona di Metztitlán.

'Suggests that the first Augustinian settlement in the Sierra Alta was not la Comunidad de Metztitlán but the iglesia de visita of San Pedro Tlatemalco. Based on a comparative study of the dimensions of the facades of Augustinian churches in the area, as well as analysis of the church's structure, concludes that this iglesia de visita was an important architectural complex. Upon studying the chronology of the establishment of the Augustinian order, as well as the geography of Metztitlán and San Pedro, concludes that the location of the first Augustinian foundation was San Pedro. Includes a hypothetical reconstruction of the original church, here dated 1536-1539' (BHA).
