Das Bild des Ordenlehrers und die Allegorie des Wissens. Ein gemaltes Programm der Augustiner.

The Augustinian order developed in the late 13th and 14th's century a visual propaganda which equals that of the Franciscan and Dominican orders. This study analyses the central programmatic picture of the order, it visualizes the vast knowledge accumulated by the order in following its founders tradition, and suggests to use knowledgeable arguments as "weapons" against heresy.
