'Analyzes the description by Isidro de Sariñana of the ephemeral altar erected by the Augustinians for the second dedication of the Cathedral Metropolitana of Mexico City in 1667. Notes conceptual, technical, and formal novelties; and focuses on the iconography and symbolism, drawing particular attention to allusions to the Temple of Solomon (Jerusalem) and to the introduction of the figure of S. Augustine in a frame symbolizing entrance to the Heavenly Jerusalem' (BHA).
