Agostino alla Zecca, Naples, casting light on the altarpieces of 1527 (commissioned from Girolamo Santacroce, Polidoro da Caravaggio, and Bartolomeo Guelfo) and 1533 (by Marco Cardisco, dismembered in the 18th c.); considers Polidoro's activity in Naples in the 1520s. and his relationship to Santacroce; and focuses on the altarpiece of 1533, arguing that the design for the main panel "S. Augustine debating with the heretics" (Naples, Capodimonte) was furnished by Polidoro da Caravaggio' (BHA).
