'Reports that the ceiling fresco of the "Assumption of the Virgin" by Francisco Martínez Bustamante in the sacristy of the cathedral of Oviedo is based on an oil sketch by Giovanni Lanfranco in the collection of the cathedral, showing his design for the ceiling of the Buongiovanni chapel in S. Agostino, Rome, painted in 1616. Notes that the bozzetto was acquired in Rome by the canon Gregório González López y Marrón, who was persuaded to sell it to the capitulares of the cathedral of Oviedo to serve as the basis for Martínez Bustamente's fresco, executed in 1734' (BHA).
