'Analyzes the iconography and arrangement of the sculpted abacus medaillions (1450 s) above the 82 capitals in the church of S. Spirito, Florence. Notes that 12 of the medaillions represent birds, 11 doves (symbols of the Holy Spirit) and one eagle (symbol of St. John the Evangelist), and that their arrangement in linear sequence forms two triangles (symbols of the Trinity) superimposed on the plan of the church' (BHA).
