'Analyses the iconography, style and function of four 15th c. vertical panels (Orte, Museo diocesano d'arte, formerly in the church of S. Agostino) with scenes from the life of S. Giles and as image of the members of the Compagnia dei Disciplinati, Orte (probably the patrons). Observes that the cult of the French saint Gilles was strongly developed in the Viterbo area. The panels originally enclosed a Statue of S. Giles. Attributes the panel paintings to a Lazio region workshop working in close contact with the Master of the Chia Tryptych, and dates them to the mid-1470' (BHA).
