'Points out the scarcity and mediocre quality of surviving works of art of the 14th and 15th cs. in Cremona, and reconstructs the original appearance and decorations of the church of S. Agostino, built ca. 1341-1360; works discussed include frescoes by Stefano da Ferrera and anonymous masters of the 14th-early 15th cs., sepulchral monuments, sculptures by Bonino da Campione, and a fragment of a panel painting by Antonio De Carro of S.
