La chiesa di S. Agostino a Roma: considerazioni e ipotesi per una rilettura delle vicende architettoniche nei secoli XIV e XV.
'Argues from the close analysis of documents and the architectural evidence, that the church of S. Agostino, Rome, was built continuously, mid 14th c.-1483. The proportions, spatial conception, etc., of the structure were established in the 14th c., and the additions (e.g. the cupola, semi-circular apse, facade, etc.) in line with new developments were made in the late 15th c. (Earlier scholars concluded that the church was built in the 14th c. and completely rebuilt in the 15th, incorporating parts of the earlier church). The church was completed (1479-1483) by Jacopo da Pietrasanta and Sebastiano da Firenze, with the patronage of cardinal Guillaume d'Estouteville. Appendix: a document of 1483' (BHA).
